In Between, 2022
Weaving is at the centre of my artistic approach, allowing me to translate notions of harmony and perception. Playing with the restrictions of the loom, I explore the creation of symmetrical shapes with openings, giving structure to my work while offering creative freedom. These lines represent a reflection on the relationship between verticality and horizontality in the world.
The weft, which can be fine, dense, coloured or mixed, creates areas of transparency that interact with the surrounding space, influencing the way we perceive our environment. Windows, of different shapes and sizes, inspire my work by acting as filters, altering our perception of space and light.
I aim to work with the weave in a deliberate way, guiding the viewer's gaze to specific areas of my weavings, inviting everyone to interpret the information according to their own emotions and experiences.
Le tissage est au cœur de ma démarche artistique, permettant de traduire les notions d'osmose et de perception. En jouant avec les contraintes du métier à tisser, j'explore la création de formes symétriques avec des ouvertures, donnant une structure à mes œuvres tout en offrant une liberté créative. Ces lignes représentent une réflexion sur les relations entre la verticalité et l'horizontalité du monde.
La trame, pouvant être fine, dense, colorée, ou interrompue, crée des zones de transparence qui interagissent avec l'espace environnant, influant sur la manière dont nous percevons notre environnement. Les fenêtres, de différentes tailles et formes, inspirent mon travail en agissant comme des filtres, modifiant notre perception de l'espace et de la lumière.
Je cherche à travailler la trame de manière délibérée, guidant le regard du spectateur vers des zones spécifiques de mes tissages, invitant chacun à interpréter les informations selon ses propres émotions et expériences.
